This Word add-in will generate Alt Text for screen readers, and it makes it easy to review and edit Alt Text.

In a Word document the text a screen reader “reads” is obviously the text contained in the body of the document.
But what about pictures, graphics, charts, etc. that are also in the document – how are they described by the screen reader?
The answer is “Alternative Text” (Alt Text) that gets associated with each special object and that the screen reader “speaks” to the end user.
Alternative Text for each inserted object has two parts:
A title for the object, which is read to the user
A description with more detail, that can be optionally read
Creating these two pieces of readable data for every picture, chart, shape, SmartArt, table, etc. in a document can be a time consuming and expensive process… and that is where AuthorTec Accessibility helps.
This Word add-in will backup and restore Plain Text AutoCorrect entries and Formatted Text AutoCorrect entries. It will also backup and restore AutoText entries.

This Word add-in allows you to import, resize and border documents, images and PowerPoint into the open Word document on your screen.
AuthorTec Insert streamlines the process of importing and properly placing imported objects into an open Word document because you can:
size and border the imported items at the same time
import multiple items at once
import all or selective slides
NEW Feature update:
Based on user feedback, AuthorTec Insert will now insert any file type as a “Document”. There is no longer a restriction to just .doc, .docx, or .docm formats.
This is a great for people writing technical documents about computer products/software.
This opens up inserting .txt, html, and many other files such as VBA code files or Java Script code files, that can be simply inserted as plain text.
This Word add-in quickly fixes broken picture links by correcting the linked folder path or changing the type of link on the Pictures.
