  1. Corrects cover page labeling on landscape version

  2. Corrects labeling and graphic image of page layout option #5 on the Create Document dialog.

  3. On slides that are 4:3 ratio they are now resized automatically to fit and not cause page breaks when inserted into the 2-slides per page layout options #3, #4, and #5.

  4. Issue with User Preference Copyright not overwriting Copyright placeholder is corrected.

  5. New feature of marking Planned Presenter Time on slides is now included. The time notation can now be included on handouts created with george!

  6. New feature of including notes for up to 3 targeted audiences is now included in george! When producing handouts, you can now designate the targeted audience and only notes for that audience type will be included in the handout.

  7. New feature of inserting Directive Cues such as Say, Do, Ask, … into slide notes are now included.

  8. New feature of producing a Validation Report, which highlights by slide: if notes exist, to what designated audience are the notes targeted, the planned presenter time, and the overall presentation time required based on a sum of the individual slide times.

  9. New install file for those people running a 32-bit version of Windows 7, 8 or 10.

  3. Corrects an issue that prevented george! from pulling PowerPoint Notes into a Word document if the end user had deleted the Notes placeholder from the PowerPoint Notes View.

  4. Corrects an issue that prevented george! from applying alternate text to the cover page slide image, if it was included on the cover page of a handout document, and to the george! logo on the acknowledgements page.

  1. Adds an automated translation function, to translate slide text and slide notes using Google Translate, from any language supported by Google Translate language to any other language supported Google Translate.

  2. Adds the ability to extract Comments from PowerPoint files and send them into a new Word document, along with any of the other items that george! extracts.

  3. Adds the ability to update slide images in existing Word documents created by george! after changes are made to the slides in the PowerPoint file that was used to build the Word document.

  4. Fixes a problem that sometimes prevented Word documents from being fully populated when using the george! Create function.

Release Date: March 14, 2016 

  1. The george! Create function has been enhanced to allow selection of Presenter Only or Participant Only notes when using a page layout format that includes PowerPoint Notes. This function works when the PowerPoint notes have been marked by the Script PPT tool in Zapps Pro The Collection.

  2. The george! Style guide has been enhanced to work with Zapps Pro The Collection styles. This allows for customization of the styles george! will use when creating documents from PowerPoint and allows users to further format their george! documents after creation, using the Zapps Pro The Collection styles that are added to Words Home tab ribbon when Zapps Pro The Collection is installed.

  3. george! documents that include slide notes will automatically format bold text as Zapps Title text.

Additional Version 7 release features include:

  1. The ability to automatically generate Alternative Text for all or selected slides and these embedded object that may be on the slides: charts, pictures, shapes, grouped shapes, SmartArt, tables, text boxes and videos. Alt Text titles and descriptions are added and can be easily viewed for editing. Alt Text is used for screen readers and is required to ensure 508 compliance.

  2. The ability to Convert formatted slide text from all or selective PowerPoint slides in the open file. This is a great tool for translating text and maintaining the text’s original formatting in the PowerPoint slide.

  3. The ability to use multiple page layouts within the same george! document. This allows users to mix and match the 18 page layouts george! provides to create an infinite variety of documents, to meet every need.
