Prioritize the Styles Word Displays with AuthorTec Manage Styles

Microsoft loads Word with an array of styles to help us format our documents. It provides a Styles button on the Home tab ribbon that brings up the Styles Gallery, which displays the list of available styles.

But, there isn’t a way to prioritize what displays in the Styles Gallery. So, we see the styles in the order Microsoft displays by default, which is not necessarily the order that is most efficient for us.

AuthorTec Manage Styles allows you to organize Word’s Styles Gallery to display styles in the order that you need them.

With AuthorTec Manage Styles you can easily:

  • Show all styles, available styles, styles in use, or just the styles in use in the document on your screen.

  • Set the priority display order for the styles you choose, and set whether or not to hide them when not in use.

  • Apply your preferences to specific documents or all new documents.

How to Access & Use

Open Word and bring up either a new blank document or one you’d like to work with to organize its styles.

  1. Click the AuthorTec Manage Styles button on right-hand end of the Home tab ribbon.

  2. Use AuthorTec Manage Styles to show all styles, available styles, styles in use, or just the styles in the open document. Set priorities and preferences for specific documents, or all new documents.
