Guide Sheet: How to Add a Break in a Leader Guide
When you want to cue your trainer that is it time to take a break, you have several options, depending on the type of Break it is. Here's how we think about breaks:
- If the Break is a significant interruption in the flow of our training program, such as a 60 minute Lunch Break, we would insert it as a Module-level break because we would most likely wrapping up the current Module before taking the Break.
- If the break is 15 - 20 minute Coffee Break at mid-morning or mid-afternoon, and it is occurring in the midst of an existing Module, then we might finish the current Lesson and add the break as a Lesson-level break.
- And, if we want to cue a brief 5 - 10 minute break in between Lesson activities, we add it as a Block-level break.
