How do I use a template customization given to me?

Current LGPro 8 Users

  • Save the customize file(s) in your LGPro template customizations folder
  • Close everything on your computer except Word
  • Save and close all Word docs
  • Click on the LGPro tab
  • Click on what you want to customize - in the customize group on right end of ribbon
  • NOTE: You have to do this one at a time - just Blocks, just Styles, just Colors & logo, etc.
  • Click on open Existing Customization doc
  • Click on Update
  • Follow prompts to save your customization file

OLD VERSIONS

If someone sends you a Customized LGP Blocks or LGP Styles or Colors and Logo file...

We refer to these documents as Utility Worksheets.

  • Save the Utility Worksheet file to your Documents/LeaderGuide Pro Library/LGPro Template Customizations folder
  • Note which Utility you are working with: LGP Blocks, LGP Styles, or Colors and Logo
  • Open the Utility Worksheet
  • Attach the appropriate LGPro Utility template to the Worksheet
  • Save the file and close the file
  • Close out of everything else on your computer
  • Open the Utility Worksheet
  • Click on the Update button in the upper left corner of your screen, on the LGPro tab
  • Save the Utility Worksheet when prompted, saving to the default LGPro Template Customizations folder location
  • That's it!

To attach the appropriate LGPro Utility template, click on:

  • the Developer Tab along the top of your screen
  • the Document Template option
  • the Templates tab
  • Attach
  • Navigate to Templates/LeaderGuide Pro 7/Utilities (it should be showing)
  • Highlight the proper Utility template
  • Click on Open, or double click to select
  • Click OK

If your Developer Tab is not showing, click on:

  • the Office button in the top left corner of your screen
  • Word Options along the bottom of the dialog box that appears
  • Add-Ins
  • Next to Manage, click on Templates from the drop down menu and click Go
  • Click on Attach
  • Navigate to Templates/LeaderGuide Pro 7/Utilities (it should be showing)
  • Highlight the proper Utility template
  • Click on Open, or double click to select
  • Click OK
