To Create Records of your Training Programs,
Modules and Lessons in Excel

 

The Librarian Registry resides in Excel and can be accessed from Word to feed information about your LGPro documents into an automated Excel workbook. From Excel you can export the data to other databases. 


About the Librarian Registry in Word and Excel

The Librarian Registry function allows you to send customized records to Excel from Word.

You can add, update and remove records of facilitator guides, participant guides, and archived modules and lessons.

The records capture data about Curriculum, Subject Area, Competency/KPI, Target Audience, Delivery Source, Owner/Author and 2 more completely custom values. You can easily set up custom values for these data categories using the Librarian Meta Tags customizing tool included in the Parts button drop down menu on the LGPro ribbon.

When you open Excel you will see a tab for LGP Plus, which you click on the bring up the Librarian Registry ribbon in Excel. Use this ribbon to work with the your LGPro records in Excel.


To Use the Librarian Registry from Word

In Word, click on Librarian on the LGPro ribbon. Use the options under Access the Librarian Registry File to do the following:

  • Add a New Master Record
  • Update an Existing Course Master Record
  • Remove an Existing Course Master Record
  • Associate this Document's source file with an Existing Course Master Record

Depending on which option you choose you will be presented with an easy to use form that will allow you to make the requested adjustments to your Librarian Registry records in Excel.

 

To Use the Librarian Registry from Excel

When you open Excel you will see a tab for LGP Plus, which you click on the bring up the Librarian Registry ribbon in Excel. Use this ribbon to work with the your LGPro records in Excel.
